Sigsbee's Body Returned Home Sunday

Waterville native Army Specialist John Sigsbee was killed in Iraq last week while serving our country, and on Sunday, his body was returned to his family. This is the road that few want to travel, but it is lined with honor for a fallen soldier;  an American hero.

As the bell tolled in Waterville, one could sense the emotion of a community, a country, in mourning, while hundreds stood at attention. This is not the homecoming that 21-year old John Sigsbee's family prayed for, but it is a homecoming nonetheless.

A thankful community of red white and blue. The reality of war hitting close to a home--a home that will not soon forget a young man who bravely put himself second and his country first.

Calling hours for John Sigsbee are scheduled for this Thursday the 24th from 4-8pm at the Waterville High School Auditorium. The funeral is tentatively scheduled for 10am on Friday.
