State Police investigating suspicious death in Vernon

VERNON - State Police in Oneida are investigating the death of Joseph J. Giacona, 37, of Sconondoa Street in Vernon.

Giacona was found dead in his home on Thursday. Police are hoping results of an autopsy being conducted late in the day will provide some answers at to how Giacona died.

For now, police are treating the home on North Sconondoa Street as a crime scene; they had it taped off this afternoon and were collecting possible evidence inside.
