Five People Shot on Miller Street in Utica

UTICA - A Utica Police say it appears three women and two men were shot overnight in Utica. Police officers were called to the 1200 block of Miller Street at approximately 3:55 a.m. Sunday.

The shooting happened during a house party with 50 or more people in attendance. The police arrived and it appeared three people had been shot. Officers soon learned two more had already been taken to a hospital.

Victims from the shooting are: 20 year old David Patterson, 24 year old Marquita L. Savage, 23 year old Marques D. Williams, 20 year old Marquilla Jones and 22 year old Keisha M. Clark, all from Utica.

The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening and one person has already been released from the hospital.
