In the two and a half years I went to HCCC nothing like this ever happened. I can remember one shoving match that resulted in two suspensions (they were out for good) and the other an unruly house party (private house not run by college) that there were prohibited by dean and mayor to have another party in that house for the rest of the school year. I am very disturbed by trouble at HCCC as IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN REGARDED AS A TOP NOTCH LEARNING INSTITUTION. What is going on there?

The two students who lived in the dorms and were involved with the 2nd assault are reinstated as students and one is back living in the same dorm, the other cannot live on campus but is a student again, nonetheless. This campus is a tragedy waiting to happen. And it does get down played. The dorm RA's are told not to discuss any incidents with anyone. It's bad enough that the assaults are not be taken seriously, is it going to take the death of a student or students to wake these people up!

The President is clearly out of touch and out of control. And to think that this nut job is talking about running for MAYOR of the Village ?!??!? For a guy who wants to get rid of "city" kids, it seems his college has become less about diversity and more about perversity...

I don't understand. One of the students "found responsible" was "reinstated immediately as an HCCC student". What is wrong with this picture? This student should be gone!

Naming the library for the current President of HCCC is ludicrous. I can think of other facilities that would be more fitting but they would not be related to academics.

I can say I dont live on campus but going to classes is scary. You have no clue what is going to happen to you. Everything is like top secret as to what is going on. I dont feel safe at all.

The problems at the college are due directly to the current president. Apparently getting a building named after him and his image in the community are more important than the safety of the students. Why would the Board of Trustees agree to name the college library after him? If that is what it takes to get rid of him, then have the dedication immediately so the college can begin damage control and bring it back to the prestigious institution it was under the direction of Bob McLaughlin.

I heard that they are playing this asault down and that this was very serious. Someone needs to find out what the real story is at this college! Way too many cover-ups!

Well, Hopefully with the new director of Security things will improve over time and especially when that President of the college retires! He is always apeasing the minorities and I blame him for these incidents. He does not do what is necessary to provide for the security of the students at the college. He must Go and NOW!
