Remembering Officer Corr: Two Years Later

WKTV News

Two years ago, New Hartford police officer Joe Corr was shot and killed chasing two men that had just robbed the Lennon's Jewelry store.

Gone, but not forgotten, Corr’s family, friends, and colleagues looked at him as a hero and, two years later, their opinions haven't changed.

Since his death, two of the four men police believe were responsible, are off the streets.

Walter Richardson was killed after he was part of a shootout outside his Philadelphia area home, just a day after he killed Officer Corr.

Toussant Davis, the man riding in the get away car with Richardson, was put behind bars for 300 years for his role in Corr’s death.

Two men are still left, Marion Peges and Robert Ward, they are still on trail in Pennsylvania, but will soon be in Oneida County to face charges.

A final chapter that will bring this two year ongoing trial to a close.
