Wade hearing held to determine witness relevance in Flaco trial

By By DAVID DELLECESE

UTICA - A hearing was held in Oneida County Court today in preparation for the trial of Wesley Molina-Cirino.

Molina-Cirino - also known by his street name of "Flaco" - stands charged with the April 2007 murder of Utica Police Officer Thomas Lindsey.

The Wade hearing today was used to determine whether or not a witness for the trial could correctly identify Molina-Cirino.

Looking among six different photos, the witness was asked to identify the correct person. This lays the foundation for the witness to be relevant to the trial.

After today's hearing, this witness who claims to have seen the shooting take place, will testify in trial which begins next week.
