Maplewood Garden Apartment tenants will not be evicted

Tenants in a Rome apartment complex are now protected from being evicted. Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has obtained a court order to stop the owner of Maplewood Garden Apartments from wrongfully kicking out its tenants.

The owners are said to have evicted several renters to begin building renovations. Cuomo's office is also investigating the landlord's alleged failure to keep proper records of the tenant's security deposits.
