Red Cross honors local heroes at annual breakfast

HERKIMER - The American Red Cross Mohawk Valley Chapter honored several local hero's this morning.

It's all part of their 11th Annual Great Hero's Breakfast. Each year the breakfast is put on to show off local people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. This year seven people were recognized.

The honorees say it's a huge honor standing up there.

"They put their all into the community, said Rodger Skinner, Red Cross Board Chairman. "They've always done what they are doing."

The event was held at Herkimer County Community College.
