Friends and community help Moody's Polaris get back on their feet

Moody's Polaris has been a staple in Newport for 24 years, but late last week a fire destroyed its main street building. Firefighters saved some equipment but most of it was destroyed.

Today the family is glad to be back in business thanks to the help of the community. The business is split between the service center on Cole Road and the office off Newport Road.

The moody family is receiving more support than it expected from restaurants and families who've dropped off food, as well as businesses lending a place to store equipment.

While it doesn't look like much now, Bruce Moody plans to rebuild the business at the same site if the villages codes department approves.
