Dunkin Donuts holds fundraiser for Food Bank

UTICA - There are now 15 Dunkin' Donuts from Rome to Herkimer.

The latest held a fundraiser today for the Utica Community Food Bank. People coming in can purchase tickets for $1 to use for their purchase, and all the money goes to the Food Bank.

Specialty baskets are being raffled off as well, with proceeds going to the Food Bank. The director says they need all the help they can get.

"W just got the call this morning that Dunkin Brands is going to match whatever we raise today," said Kim Strong from the Food Bank. "The Dunkin' Foundation is so...it's really a win win situation for us. Their people get trained and it's a fundraiser and it's really great we were so proud to be a part of it."

The Dunkin' Donuts on Oriskany Boulevard doesn't actually have its grand opening until this Thursday at Noon.

And right after that, it's over to Mohawk Street in East Utica to break ground on the next one.
