Rome man charged for possessing a sexual performance by a child

ROME - More than 200 computer related items are going to be examined by computer forensic specialists after they were seized from a Rome residence.

According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, Edmund Pawlak, 27, of Rome, is facing charges of possessing a sexual performance by a child. Pawalak was arrested after a search warrant was executed by the Child Advocacy Center, State Police, Rome Police, and the Utica Police Computer Crimes Unit.

The case now goes to the Oneida County District Attorney's Office for a grand jury proceeding, with additional charges pending.
