Man charged with DWI, passenger sustains critical injuries after crash

FLOYD, N.Y. (WKTV) - One person is in jail following an accident early Sunday morning, resulting in serious injuries.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, 25-year-old Dale J. Annis, of Steuben, was driving north on Soule Road in the Town of Floyd along with a front-seat passenger, 30-year-old Corey M. Graveline, and a backseat passanger, 26-year-old Michael P. Colangelo.

Annis lost control of his vehicle, striking a utility pole on the side of the roadway, according to authorities. The vehicle overturned in the intersection of Boak Road.

Sheriffs say that Annis was unharmed but Graveline was seriously injured.

Graveline was extricated from the vehicle and sent to St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He is listed in critical condition with internal injuries, according to a hospital spokesperson Sunday afternoon.

Colangelo was not injured.

After investigation, authorities arrested Annis for DWI, assault, speed not reasonable, and failure to keep right.

Annis was arraigned in the Town of Trenton Court and sent to Oneida County Jail in lieu of $7500 bail.

The investigation is continuing.
