Friends and Family remember 23 year-old killed in car accident

A car accident in Sauquoit last month killed 22-year-old Kara Jweid. On Friday it was her 23rd birthday so friends and family came together to remember her.

As part of their celebration, more than 100 balloons were released in her memory.

Kim Jweid, Kara’s mother, says she wasn't surprised with the turnout or by the touching memorial that was set up nearby.

Each balloon had a butterfly attached to it where friends and family wrote special messages to Kara.
