PENNSYLVANIA - New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton won the Pennsylvania Primary Tuesday night beating Illinois Senator Barack Obama by an almost 10% margin.

This was a crucial win for Clinton as now some analysts are saying she is still a credible candidate for the Democratic nomination. She had large leads in the state but Barack Obama has been closing the gap in recent weeks.

Clinton gave a victory speech from Pennsylvania as Barack Obama was already focusing on the next state of Indiana, the place from which he gave his speech. He congratulated Clinton on her victory.

There were 158 delegates at stake in Pennsylvania. Those delegates will be divided by proportional distribution. Obama started the night with a lead of 1,653 to Clinton's 1,513 out of the 2,025 delegates needed to win the nomination. The winner will face Senator John McCain, the presumed Republican nominee.

According to precinct-specific results, Clinton won most of Western Pennsylvania including Pittsburgh, while Obama won the City of Philadelphia.

The next contests will be held in Indiana and North Carolina on May 5th.
