*A 200 yard fire struck a thickly wooded area along Walker Road, causing power outages.

*A massive fire in Johnstown in Fulton County destroyed several old factories and damaged some nearby homes.

*A Clinton man accused of cheating the State Health Department out of nearly half-a-million dollars in Medicaid benefits has been offered a plea deal.

*The last of four men involved in a deadly fight last summer was sent to state prison for ten years.

*The Utica Police Department will be seeing 185 new guns placed into their holsters.

*A Utica man is facing DWI charges - for the third time since September.

*The Dalai Lama visited Central New York this week at Colgate University.

*Remington Arms in Ilion is getting a big boost this Summer when they merge with another firearms plant.

*As part of the going green movement, Fiberdyne Labs in Frankfort has created a vertical windmill, that powers the parking lot's led lights so they can shine at night.

*A North Carolina-based magazine has ranked FX Matt Brewing company number 65 on its "top 125 places to have a beer before you die." list.
