WKTV News

It's only been a few weeks since the memorial cross for murdered Utica Police Officer Thomas Lindsey was put up on Neilson street, and now police say it's been vandalized.

We're told sometime during the overnight hours a person or persons broke the cross in half and broke a frame with Lindsey's picture inside. Public Safety Commissioner Dan Labella says they don't know who vandalized the cross, but an investigation is ongoing.

Lindsey's family put up the cross on the 11 hundred block of Neilson Street where the Utica police officer was killed one year ago.
