Healthcare Professionals to be honored by their peers at Expo

Healthcare professionals in the Mohawk Valley will soon be honored by their patients and peers. The Genesis Group and local hospitals have announced a Regional Healthcare Expo scheduled for early June.

Genesis, a community-based organization, hopes the event will attract many from the Mohawk Valley. Hopsitals, and members of the community will be involved in the expo, which is designed to highlight the Mohawk Valley healthcare industry.

Several highly regarded healthcare workers will be honored by peers and members of the community during the event.

Genesis director Ray Durso was joined by officials from each of our local hospitals this morning during the annoucement.

Aside from the expo, there will be a healthcare forum, and a Diabetic Chef, who will speak to those in attendance.

Durso discussed the importance of recognizing physicians, nurses, dentists who are deserving.

"We have a lot of professionals who come from outside the area for positions in the healthcare industry," Durso said. "We want people coming into the area to know the great things we have here."

The expo will take place at Harts Hill Inn June 3 and is free and open to the public.
