Route 5 open after mid-day accident

By GRANT DeBRUIN

SCHUYLER - Route 5 is open again after an accident Thursday afternoon.

Route 5 between Frankfort Bridge and Dyke Road, was closed for about an hour and a half because of a one-car accident.

State Police say it appears the driver - Ryan Chrobak - took his eyes off the road, and crashed into a utility pole.

Fortunately, he wasn't injured. Police say at this point that no charges are pending.

says it all right in the article "took his eyes off the road". Oops! Isn't that the first and foremost thing they teach drivers, to keep your eyes on the road.
