Andrew Donovan

WHITESTOWN - A teen is facing charges Saturday after filling up for free. Whitestown police say 19-year old William Ward filled up with about ten gallons of gas at the Whitestown Highway Department before being stopped by a police officer Friday.

Ward has been charged with one count of petit larceny and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Whitestown Court on May 19 in order to answer to the charge.

There just wont be teens doing the stealing of gas! People working 50 hours a week are barely getting by..Avg person spends $50.00 a week a gas alone

I guess with gas at almost$4.00 / gallon, you will see a lot more of this kind of stuff.

1 count of petty larceny?Sounds like an easy deal to get the gas you cant afford anymore.Stealing gas will most likely be the headlines in the news in the future.

Not surprised. We'll see a lot more of this as the price of gas goes up. Yep...it'll reach $4.00 a gallon by Memorial Day weekend. Then they can be ever so kind and give us that tax break. Big Whoop!!
