By DAVID DELLECESE

A look at the week's top newsmakers, all in under 7 minutes. Here's some of the notable newsmakers making headlines for the week of May 4th - May 11th:

*Back in February, members of Saint Paul's Baptist Church in Utica took a vote: 83 said they wanted Reverend Tenolian Bell to step down from his post; 41 supported him. At question now is the validity of that vote.

*One of the three men charged in the stabbing deaths of two people in Rome rejected a plea deal this week.

*A local man was arrested after he tried to pass a counterfeit bill last week. But it wasn't the first time. Jeremiah Hurd was in Oneida County Court this week to enter a "not guilty" plea to similar charges in New Hartford from last Summer.

*One of two teens involved in the Holland Patent bus shooting back in November is headed to prison.

*Eleven people face charges after a large drug bust in Utica. Police seized 50 grams of cocaine and more than 270 grams of marijuana, scales, and packaging materials.

*An undercover prostitution sting in Utica ends with four people under arrest. Utica Police, along with state troopers, conducted the sting resulting in the arrest of four females.

*An Ilion man is dead after apparently losing control of his motorcycle in the Town of Fairfield.

*A scary moment for a woman in New Hartford, after pulling her car into her garage...it goes up in flames.

*New details have come to light regarding a fight that took place two weeks ago outside a campus apartment near Herkimer County Community College.

*Driving the arterial in Utica may soon become less time consuming. That's because nearly 30 plans have been paired down to 15 for the future of the north-south arterial that stretches through Utica.

*Utica is home to about 1,600 Burmese refugees. Many of them are worried about their families, but say they haven't been able to contact anyone yet.

*And not too many people can say that they've had 95 birthdays, but Mollie Wertheim has...and she's still working to boot!
