Nail Creek Services wins MV Edge Business Plan Competition

By KRISTEN COPELAND

WHITESBORO - As the governor promotes local business, the Mohawk Valley will soon be home to a new company.

Nail Creek Services, based in Clinton, has won the 5th Annual Mohawk Valley Edge Business Plan competition.

Edge presented Frank and Judy Vlossak with $10,000 cash and $10,000 worth of professional services to help Nail Creek Services get off the ground.

The company re-writes complicated instruction manuals for any and every piece of machinery under the sun. But as Edge will tell you, selecting just one business plan was a difficult decision to make.

"All four entries that made the finals were excellent," said Shawna Papale, of Mohawk Valley Edge. "We sat there and said which would be the best and they were all excellent. We are thrilled that Nail Creek won but the other three entries are companies we want to continue working with and give an opportunity to grow in the Mohawk Valley."

The other finalists include Bounce Paving, RJT Products and KVA Systems.
