Mohawk Valley Edge retracts its business competition award
Mohawk Valley Edge officials are taking back the business competition award they gave out earlier this week. Nail Creek Services beat out three other finalists on Tuesday but now MV Edge officials say they need to retract it. They say that they recently received additional information that affects Nail Creek Services' qualifications for the award but would not elaborate. Judges plan to review the other three finalists and announce a new winner. MV Edge president, Steven DiMeo said: "We're not going to comment any further. We felt we had grounds for disqualifying the applicant." DiMeo did say that the information that came to light that caused the disqualification did not come from any of the other finalists.
