HERKIMER - Car accident injures seven people

Kristen Copeland

Two people are waking up in hospital beds this morning following a two-car accident in Herkimer Saturday.

According to state police, seven people were injured in the crash that happened on Route 5.

We're told Dorothy Krick, of Dolgeville is at fault. She crossed over the centerline into oncoming traffic. Her car hit a stopped vehicle waiting to make a left hand turn onto Smallsbush Road, in Herkimer.

That car, carrying five people who were all treated for minor injuries.

No word on Kricks condition or that of her passenger.

Hi Sister. My point was that WKTV never follows up on a story. We are by nature caring and curious. With your view, Why did they bother to write about it at all, if a: it was none of our business, and b: the people involved already knew about it.??? I just hope all involved are going to be ok, whoever they are. Have a nice nite.

it happened shortly after 1:00pm on sat. russ-if you're a neighbor of those involved you would already know who it was now wouldn't you. everything does not have to be public knowledge-people need to stay busy in their own backyards instead of wondering outside the fence

As neighbors of some of these people, maybe we would like to know who was involved, Jenn. Secondly, it's been two days since the accident, and no more details have been posted. Just WKTV dropping the ball as usual. Always a headline, never a follow up. I noticed that the station named Mrs Krick as the cause, however, did they ponder if she may have been stricken ill or something? No, they just said it wazs her fault. Shoddy reporting if you ask me.

Also, what time was this? I was late for work as they closed 5 in East Herkimer around 1:30pm but this picture (I guessing it is a stock pic) is night time. Then again, I heard alot of sirens around 11pm after getting home, more info please!
