Headaches send governor to NYC hospital on 54th birthday
NEW YORK (AP) - Governor Paterson is spending his birthday at a The governor's office says Paterson -- who turned 54 today -- asked to be brought to Manhattan's Mount Sinai Medical Center, near his home in Harlem. His office says preliminary tests were normal and he's resting Paterson took office in March after Eliot Spitzer resigned amid a prostitution scandal. Paterson's health has been a concern in recent years, with at least two hospitalizations. The most recent was last summer, when he fainted on an airplane en route to Buffalo. He was briefly hospitalized and the following day had an angiogram at Mount Sinai, which was normal. Doctors said they found no evidence of heart disease. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press.
