Fire ruled accidental; caused by welding incident
 
Fire officials have ruled the fire at the F.X. Matt Brewery as accidental, after spending six hours on Friday, trying to recreate last Thursday's incidents in a controlled environment. Firefighters took a piece of a conveyor belt that was near where welding was occurring just before the fire, and had a brewery employee take a torch to it. The plastic material ignited, but there was no visible flame while it continued to burn.
