UTICA - All hands were on deck Thursday as neighboring fire departments and others lent a helping hand to the Utica Fire Department to fight the fire at F.X Matt Brewing Co..

Multiple fire departments responded to the massive fire including Utica, Whitesboro, Maynard, New York Mills and New Hartford. In addition to the fire departments lending a hand, Herkimer and Oneida County EMS officials and ambulance companies arrived on the scene and many remained into the evening.

It could be a while before they get back to their respective departments: Utica Fire Marshall Ray Beck says they could be needed until 1-2:00 AM.

National Grid was on the scene to assist with electricity concerns. The Red Cross was there to help evacuees.
