Governor Paterson visits the F.X. Matt Brewery
UTICA - Thursday, Governor David Paterson made a stop here in West Utica in order to pledge state support to the Matt Family after their brewing company's massive fire. Nick and Fred Matt greeted the Governor outside of the brewery and then took him on a tour to survey the damage. Multimedia The men showed Paterson where the fire started near canning operations on the second floor. Paterson says the state will provide any support it can in order to help get the brewery back up and running. Both Nick and Fred Matt say it is humbling that the Governor took time out of his busy schedule to stop by their business and experience, first-hand, the effects of the fire. Would you rather see people with disabilitys try to overcome them and contribute to society or should the all get to stay home and collect a form of benefits so your taxes can go up more.
