Arcuri throws support behind Barack Obama

By JOLEEN FERRIS

Congressman Arcuri says he kept his promise to support Senator Hillary Clinton in her presidential bid as long as he stayed in the race. Arcuri threw his support behind Illinois Senator Barrack Obama only after Clinton herself chose to give up her bid and support him.

"I feel very very comfortable," Arcuri said. "I've been very loyal and I continue to be very loyal to her, but you know, I think it's time for us to move in a new direction to unite, and obviously, her and Senator Obama got together last night and talked about things, so we're moving in the right direction as a party."

Arcuri says that, in following Clinton's lead to Obama's camp, he, in essence, is still supporting the New York Senator.
