Loretto Center says sale is "just like getting a new landlord"

By NICOLE ESTAPHAN

UTICA - The Loretto Center in Utica is up for sale. It's all part of a long-standing bankruptcy filing by the company which owns the property.

Loretto Utica Properties Organization filed bankruptcy in December 2005. The State of Foreclosure was lifted last June.

A spokeswoman for the center says the sale will not affect the facility's healthcare or residents.

She likened it to simply getting a new landlord.

The Executive Director says that as of right now they will continue to focus on quality-care, and that it's "business as usual."
