Cooperstown gets big boost for its Library and Village Hall
COOPERSTOWN - Cooperstown is getting a big financial boost to restore its Village Hall and Library. On Monday, State Senator James Seward announced a $100,000 grant to help with repairs to the roof and porch, along with plumbing and electrical updates. "It performs many functions for local citizens," Senator Seward said. "The village offices are there, the public library is there. So it's very, very important that we preserve this very important building on Main Street in Cooperstown." Senator Seward is up for re-election this November.
