Its common for young black bears to wonder in search of its own territory. The mother migh have run it off this spring and its trying to find a place of its own. Just leave your bird feeders empty there is no reason to feed birds this tie of year, take your garbage out later tha normal, if you feed your pets outside just put enough for the pet to eat so there is no reason for the bear to stick around. It has been said before bears are common in this region actually more common than you think!!

Why do people think it is so crazy for a bear to show up in Little Falls.Black bears are common in salisbury and stratford and these towns are less than 30 miles away.Sometimes a black bear will wander up to 50 miles from its den in one day. Just remember just like all wildlife they are more afraid of us than we are of them . If you see a bear just let it be and it will go away. Bother it and it will get mad just like we would if somebody wouldn't leave us alone...

And when you're the one attacked by the bear, you'll be eating your words. They should be in the woods, not the middle of a neighborhood.

Lived in Little Falls only a couple of years ago about 1 mile northeast of the school. One night I went outside because I heard some disturbance and thought I heard and saw a bear. Might just be the same one.
