Running for re-election with 13 years experience to boot.
Republican Assemblyman Marc Butler made the announcement today at the Waterfront Grille in Herkimer.
 
He points to his work on the Assembly's Economic Development Committee and helping to pass legislation with help from both sides of the political aisle. Butler says even after 13 years, no day is the same.

"I like the fact that we're getting out and doing things for people and meeting new people and i think that's one of the exciting aspects of the job even at this juncture after a number of years in the assembly, people continue to step forward," Butler said.

Come November, Butler will be challenged by current Herkimer County Legislator Dan Carter. Carter is a Democrat from Little Falls.
