UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The candidates for the 22nd Congressional District were both picking up endorsements across the area on Thursday.

Members of the Central New York Labor Council gathered Thursday to throw their support behind Democratic candidate Dan Lamb.

Representatives with the union said they believe Lamb understands the contributions employees make in the workplace and beyond.

"So much gained by have these people in this area," said Thomas Slocum, a member of the union supporting Lamb. "We don't want to want all that volunteerism to leave Rome and Utica. Dan supports us on that."

In Binghamton on Thursday, current Congressman Richard Hanna picked up an endorsement from the Carpenters Union Local 277.
