Fatal Motorcyle Accident in Otsego County

The accident happened just after 2 Monday afternoon at Route 28 and Day Road.

According to the Otsego County Sheriff's Department, a Hartwick man died when he crested a knoll while heading west on Route 28.

Brittany Rombough of Cooperstown was crossing route 28. Unable to stop, deputies say, Andrew Ellis plowed into the side of Rombaugh's vehicle.

Ellis later died of his injuries at Bassett Hospital. The investigation is continuing, although deputies say there is limited sight distance for either driver in that area.
