Religious Youth Conference at the Aud

WKTV News

UTICA - Utica's Memorial Auditorium is full of spirit this week.  A Christian youth conference began Thursday morning and runs through Friday night.

Thousands of teens from across the Northeast are taking part in the music, prayer and other activities.

Organizers say ministers will deliver positive messages designed to help teens cope with social and life problems, but there is plenty of fun to be had as well.

2-thousand teens bought tickets for the day's conference, but more are expected before it ends on Friday.  Friday night's session is free and open to the public.  It starts at 7pm.

Can I ask why the comments I have tried to post on here are not posted, except for this one? Is it because I mentioned the reason these kids have faith and we dont want to offend anyone? Ridiculous. This country was formed on religous beliefs. We should be able to talk about religon and the reason for a persons faith. STOP THE CENSORSHIP

We all are human and therefore will make mistakes and sin. The incidents of molestation you speak of happen all over, not just in any church. It doesnt make it right, but just becaused a person is "religious" doesnt make them perfect and to be put on a pedestal. Sorry you feel that way but I want you to know that I love you and no matter what you think or say.. God loves you too. "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do"

You are free to think and feel what you wish. Our God gave you free will. We are all human and therefore not perfect. Does abuse happen? Yes, but is happens everywhere..not just those incidents you hear in the news about Catholic priests. I am not Catholic, but I am a bible believing Christian. I want you to know that no matter what you think or feel, that I love you and most certainly God loves you too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYiv7JH1Lh4 Hopefully they will allow this link..

I, along with my family, traveled quite far and attended this Christian conference. There were over 2000 people there. This is just a small news media story. God is alive and living in these kids. You dont have to be be a good little boy or girl for Him to save you. He wants us just as we are. Proof positive in all these different types of people in attendance..worshipping and praying together. See the real conference.. visit generationconference.com and see for yourselves.

Positive! Church is where half the perverts are and children are molested. People are going by a book, "Bible" that someone wrote, never could you verify truth. There is no heaven, the only thing above the clouds is outer space.

I don't see a lot of spirit in your photo. Perhaps you should post another picture to match your headline!
