ALBANY - Local New York State Senator Joe Griffo has been honored by educators.
    
Senator Griffo has been selected by the New York State School Boards Association as its 2008 "Freshman Legislator of the Year".  Griffo called the award "high praise."
    
Griffo said he was very humbled to be selected and looked forward to working with school boards in the coming years to develop long-term solutions to the funding issues that face schools.

Great Job keep up the good work! Also please work on the co-paymants, come on why do new hartford teachers have to pay up to $20.00 for a out of network doctor! That is just so unfair! Also lets shorten the school year to about six months,increase their pay about 10% a year and watch all the young people leave the area! Keep up the GREAT JOB!
