Utica College holds Orientation Day

WKTV News

UTICA - Friday is orientation day for hundreds of incoming freshmen at Utica College.

The school will see more then 600 incoming students and 100 and 75 transfers, making it the biggest class in the college's history. Enrollment officials say despite their growing numbers, Utica College prides itself on its small school experience.

"I think the biggest factor is that they still remain closely connected to the faculty I think all students are looking for a close faculty mentor-ship and that's something we can still provide because we are small," says Vice President of Enrollment Management Patrick Quinn.

The school's curriculum will also see the addition of four new majors.
