Disaster averted after fire breaks out at Deansboro barn

DEANSBORO - It could have been much worse!

Animals were inside a barn in Deansboro when fire broke out Friday afternoon.

But the owner of the barn was able quickly put together a "bucket brigade" and doused the flames, even before firefighters got there.

Deansboro Fire Chief Jerry Sehn says it appears the fire started in an overheated milk pump.
