ROME - A group in Rome continues to save the lives of man's best friend. Dozens of people from more than 22-states met in Rome Friday with their cairn terriers for the rescue group's annual party. 

The event boasts everything from a professional pet photographer to games and food for both pet and parent. The weekend-long gathering will raise funds for their rescue efforts.

Since it's inception in 2001, the group has helped to rescue close to two-thousand abused or unwanted dogs.
