Bill Scanlon of Mohawk is the recipient of a 2008 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic. Scanlon’s ticket was picked randomly during the Community Independence Day Celebration held at Herkimer County Community College on July 3. The annual raffle benefits programs sponsored by the College Foundation, including student scholarships. HCC Foundation President Robert E. Brenchley said, “Many volunteers and local businesses helped with this important fundraising initiative to benefit HCCC student scholarships, and their efforts were a tremendous success this year. The Foundation is sincerely grateful for the community’s on-going support of this program and the work of the Foundation, which benefits students who want to pursue a college education.” The following comments do not necessarily represent the views of NBC-WKTV News Channel 2.
