Jordan man accused of killing his parents, hiding bodies in septic tanks
Submitted Photo by NY State Police in Elbridge ELBRIDGE - On Tuesday, William Kirby came to the State Police in Elbridge to report finding a torso at his aunt and uncle’s residence at 5879 Sandbank Road in the Town of Elbridge. At that time, he also indicated his aunt and uncle (Joseph, 54, and Jo Ellen Bisesi, 53) had not been seen since early Sunday morning. Kirby indicated he was first alerted to the disappearance of his aunt and uncle by their daughter, Gina Bisesi, who advised she had been unable to contact them since that time. State Police personnel responded to 5879 Sandbank Road and discovered what appeared to be an adult male torso protruding from the plastic stand pipe covering of the septic tank. An investigation was initiated which determined that a son, Joseph M. Bisesi III, 27, also resided at this residence with his parents, was missing along with a vehicle registered to Mrs. Bisesi. An alert was issued by State Police for both the son and the vehicle. Within a short time frame, the son appeared at the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and began disclosing his involvement in the disappearance of his parents. The son was interviewed by the New York State Police and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Investigators, and provided information relative to the location of his parents. The State Police investigation revealed that he had murdered both his parents on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his residence, and secreted their bodies in the septic tank located on the south side of his residence. Joseph M. Bisesi III was arrested Tuesday night and charged with first-degree murder, arraigned before a judge in the Town of Elbridge Court, and committed to the Onondaga County Justice Center with no bail. The remains of the parents were recovered late last night from within the septic tank by State Police Forensic Investigators, and removed to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office for a post-mortem examination scheduled Wednesday. This examination will determine the official cause of death. The New York State Police was assisted during the course of this investigation by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. In addition, the Elbridge Fire Department provided resources for an extended amount of time. |
