All power restored after severe weather rips through Central New York
ROME - According to the National Grid, all power has been restored after a severe storm came through the Central New York area Saturday evening. Reports of downed trees and power lines came pouring into the NEWSChannel 2 Newsroom all night Saturday. At one point, Oneida County had more than 4000 people without power. Sunday was all about the clean up from the mess the storms left behind. One couple was just moments away from their wedding reception when the weather moved into the area. Fortunately, they did tie the knot before the weather came through. The Beeches in Rome is where the celebration was about to get underway. A total of about 500 people were inside around 7:30 Saturday night when the storm hit and the power went out. The cleanup is massive around The Beeches in the city with a total of more than 60 trees down. Although, throughout the area, they are thinking positive. As you drive along Turin Road in the city, you can see what the storm left behind and the hard work of cleaning it up. That way we can raise our rates and payout loads of OT for nothing! Please continue to live your life with blinders on and we will keep our rates sky high! The unions thank you also! Inappropriate? God Bless National Grid, who cares I'm having to move due to your prices. GOD BLESS the hard working men and women who are NATIONAL GRID! NYSEG keeps pushing back the power restore time. I guess since we don't live in the suburbs we don't count as much. Inappropriate?
