PARIS - A seven-year-old girl is lucky to be alive after going missing for about two hours. Witnesses say her mother was taking a shower while a friend kept watch over her. By the time her mother was finished, the little girl was gone.

Three young men are being called heroes when an average night took a drastic turn. For Zach Dean, Robert Hodge and another friend, it was a typical Friday night. They were hanging out, having fun and had not a care in the world. At this point, Mohawk Street in Sauquoit was about to become a little more chaotic.

The teenagers went for a walk on the trail at the back of a house, described Zach, when they came upon the little girl and man. They spoke to the teens and said they were lost. The boys gave them directions and continued on their walk. They went back to their house and about an hour later, a women came looking for that same little girl

"We didn't make the connection that the girl was missing," said Robert. Zach continued, "We went back there, looked, we came about them in the woods and she was completely naked. He ran off in the woods and we went chasing him." The teenagers called 9-1-1 from the woods.

By the time they got back to the house, the New York State Police were on the scene. State Police hope to release further information on the suspect and the condition of the 7-year-old in the coming days. At this time, charges are pending.
