Fatal car accident in the Town of Steuben

STEUBEN - Police are investigating the cause of an early morning accident that has left Boonville woman dead and another woman in critical condition.

The accident happened on Route 274 shortly before 12:30 Saturday morning.
According to Oneida County deputies, a vehicle driven by Carl Barcomb of Old Forge was traveling north on Soule Road, where he stopped at a stop sign.
Barcomb than proceeded through the intersection when he was hit by a vehicle driven by 23-year old Brandon Razzano of Barneveld.
Two women were ejected from the back of Barcomb's car. Neither was wearing a seat-belt.
Both women were taken to St. Elizabeths hospital where 36-year old Laura Gribneau of Boonville was pronounced dead.
37-year old Kelly Barcomb of Old Forge is in critical condition.
Two other people were treated for minor injuries.
Police say Razzano has been charged with D-W-I.
