DNA test required in Town of Paris sexual assault case

The man accused of sexually assaulting a seven year-old girl in the Town of Paris two weeks ago is now being required to undergo a DNA test.

So far, there's no formal sexual assault charges against Louis Leddick, who is being held on a parole violation.

The incident happened on July 25th when the young girl was spotted in the woods by three young men with a man who police say claimed to be her father.

Shortly after when the girl was reported missing, police say, the young men went back into the woods, where they found the girl naked, and the man who police have identified now as Louis Leddick, took off running.

It was around 1:30 a.m. the following morning that Leddick, a recent parolee, was found and taken into custody.

The DNA test is required for authorities to determine whether or not Leddick is truly the man several people claim they saw the day the young girl went missing in the Town of Paris.

The DNA testing is expected to be complete within the next week.
