WKTV to offer High Definition programming; signal unavailable to Time Warner customers until determined acceptable
On Friday, August 8th, WKTV NewsChannel 2 will begin offering its Central New York viewers High Definition television programming over the air. The station recently completed a significant upgrade to its master control that permits WKTV to transmit HD programming from NBC. Unfortunately at this time, viewers who watch WKTV via Time Warner Cable will not be able to watch HD programming until Time Warner tests the signal and determines it is acceptable to add to its digital service.
