Accident in Frankfort kills two recent graduates

WKTV News

FRANKFORT - Two Utica teenagers who had graduated from Proctor High School in June were killed in a one car accident in Frankfort Saturday night.

Friends of the victims told NEWSChannel 2 that the victims are Sergey Volk and Vitaly Sidorevich, both 17 years old.

Upon arrival, police officers discovered that a 1998 BMW had wrapped around a maple tree in front of 600 Brockway Road. The roof of the vehicle was found to have been caved in trapping the occupants inside the vehicle. The driver, 17 year old Sergey Volk, and the passenger, 17 year old Vitaly Sidorevich, were checked at the scene and were found to be unresponsive. Police say that excessive speed was a contributing factor to the accident.

Friends said that the teens, both born in Russia, were returning to Utica from the birthday of a relative.

The accident occurred around 10:30pm, Saturday, on Brockway Road in Frankfort.
