Woman accused of Court Street arson rejects plea offer
UTICA (WKTV) - The woman accused of setting a Court Street fire on July 4 has rejected a plea deal from the Oneida County District Attorney's Office and will now go to trial.
Prosecutors say the incident on July 4th began as some sort of domestic dispute and ended with 19 year-old Ambur Dawn Fortney allegedly starting a fire on the porch of 1122 Court Street in Utica. That fire was one of a cluster of four Utica fires that broke out within an hour of each other around midnight fourth of July into the fifth. She rejected a plea deal in Oneida County Court today and could face up to 25 years in prison if found guilty after her trial. |
