UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - This is the second year that hundreds of Central New Yorkers have come together to remember fallen Police Officer Thomas Lindsey in the Brothers Forever Ride.

This event is an annual motorcycle ride in the City of Utica. The participants not only use it as a memorial to their colleague but also as a fundraiser while having some fun too.

Participants from all over the area and the state get to show off their bikes, leather apparel and special commemorative pins and patches made every year.

Officer Lindsey was gunned down senselessly on April 12, 2007 during a routine traffic stop on Nielson Street in Utica.

The event is also an emotional one for all involved. Those riding Saturday who have family members in law enforcement know what this means to the Lindsey family.

All of the money raised during the ride will help keep Officer Lindsay’s memory alive forever. This ride is going to fund the Tom Lindsey Endowment which will help youth throughout the area, through the Community Foundation of Central New York.
