MARCY, N.Y. - “From the Mills to Marcy,” the first published history of the State University of New York Institute of Technology (SUNYIT), has received a Gold Hermes Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The book was authored by John Swann, director of public relations & communications at SUNYIT, with information drawn from archival documents, historical news accounts, an oral history project, and interviews with a number of persons involved in the early days of the college.
